Ethiopian Airlines has established transcontinental air connectivity networks connecting its main hub, Addis Ababa, to the rest of the world, living up to its motto of “Bringing Africa Together and Beyond.” The airline operates daily and multiple flights with a minimum layover in Addis to 136 international passenger and cargo destinations, including 63 cities in Africa. More destinations on the continent are served by Ethiopian than by any other airline, making it a seasoned operator with a wide intra-African network.
Ethiopian Airlines made a significant advancement in its triumphant voyage in December 2011 when it became a member of Star Alliance, the biggest airline alliance globally. The multi-award-winning airline has been recognized for its excellence with numerous coveted accolades and awards over the years. To name a few, these include the Outstanding Crisis Leadership Award for Overall Excellence, the Skytrax Four-Star Airline Certification, and the Best Airline in Africa title for multiple years.
Ethiopia has continued to flourish, and over the last ten years, its average growth rate has been 25%. Ethiopia has outlined a more ambitious strategic roadmap called Vision 2035 to further support its ongoing growth after meeting the goals of its 15-year strategic plan, Vision 2025, ahead of schedule.
