Establishing the State Bank of Ethiopia in 1942 marks the beginning of the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia’s (CBE) history. In 1963, CBE was formally founded as a share firm. Since then, it has been actively contributing to the advancement of the country.
With more than 1948 branches, CBE currently has more over 38.9 million account holders. The number of consumers using its mobile and online banking services has also surpassed 6.6 million and 37 million. More than 8.3 million and 17 million CBE Birr clients are active ATM card holders.

The required educational background and work experience are a B.A. in accounting, management, economics, or a similar discipline with no prior work experience.
2.5 and higher for men and 2.5 and above for women in terms of CGPA.
